like dear friends to me...
Flowers are like dear friends, think of the joy you feel when you see an old friend that you haven't seen in years, a hug, a clasp of the hands and you know you are home, a celebration of kindred spirits... such is the feeling when I catch a peek of an unfurling "love-in-the-mist" surrounded by her beautiful lacey foliage, a "poppy" bloom ready to burst out it's hidden treasures, a delicate tendril & fragrance from a "sweet pea", yes, like dear sweet friends, they add unmeasurable joy and priceless beauty to my life. Thank you for stopping by today my friend, so good to see you too! :)
pictures taken today with my very bestest of friends, my dear husband, at our favorite botanical garden, Daniel Stowe...
"Ever since I could remember anything, flowers have been like dear friends to me, comforters, inspirers, powers to uplift and to cheer...every blade of grass that sprang out of the ground, every humblest weed, was precious in my sight... Many thoughts had I of all the flowers I knew; very dear were they, so that after I had gathered them I felt sorry, and I had a safe place between the rocks to which I carried them when they were withered, and hid them away from all eyes, they were so precious even then."
